We do this through a unique Human Resources infrastructure, deployed at every one of our hotels, and developed to cater to the HR challenges specifically encountered in the Middle East and Africa region. It consistently produces a service culture across the brand that is unequalled by any other hospitality management company.

Our Human Resources Department is expert in staff development,training and retention strategies. It operates highly successful surveys and competency programmes, as well as runs a centralised recruitment system that gives us access to staff from around the world.

Staff members come to our hotels from all four corners of the earth. They arrive using different languages; with different cultures; different traditions. Our policies harness this diversity to your benefit, while treating employees exactly the same way we treat our guests – with warmth,courtesy and respect.

At Rotana, we regard internal communication as essential to the furtherance of these goals. We use a variety of tools to engage Rotana employees: ‘MyRotana’, an interactive communication platform that is accessed online, and the lobal ‘Insight Rotana’ system, where Corporate, Area and Property news is broadcast simultaneously to all our team members.

But in keeping with the day-to-day operational benefits derived from Rotana’s exacting HR standards, the selection and retention of the best qualified individuals is central to the long term vision of our company. Most members of Rotana’s senior and middle management have been with the company since its inception, with many starting at junior levels and benefiting from the company’s development and management training programmes.
